COURSE DESCRIPTION
These are dynamic, unsettling times, indeed. You may be finding that you need to renew and restore, to recenter and to replenish the inner well, more now than ever. Our students no doubt feel the same. Learn to practice and to teach restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra. This course will consist of 25 hours of restorative yoga training with Libby Cox, who studied extensively with Judith Lasater, the mother of restorative yoga. The other half of the training will be Yoga Nidra with Scott Cave. Scott will draw from his years of experience working in Trauma Informed spaces for veterans, and his myriad I-Rest and Yoga Nidra studies.
Class includes 10 hours of homework, including making audio recordings, writing scripts for Yoga Nidra, and practicing restorative yoga with a journal.

MEETING CONSIDERATIONS
Due to the dynamic nature of our covid landscape, we are doing our best to offer classes to the levels of comfortability of staff and students alike. This course has the following parameters:
- When you register for the course, we will send you the schedule with teachers and the content outline for each class so you can plan accordingly.
- Classes will meet in person at Balanced Hot Yoga unless staff has a need to quarantine, in which case, we will give advance notice and all will zoom from home.
- All classes will be available through Zoom at all times. However, Scott's Yoga Nidra zoom sessions will be available as recordings only and asynchronous.

Two scholarships are 1/2 tuition, available to people underrepresented in mainstream yoga and wellness communities--including but not limited to BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ folx, people with disabilities, and people with abundant bodies--who will use this knowledge to make wellness spaces more diverse in terms of size and ability.
