My 300 hour yoga teacher training experience with Two Birds has been exceptional. Libby Cox is extremely knowledgeable, resourceful and well connected with other leaders in various fields of yoga study and practice. She is an engaging teacher bringing a palpable passion to the subject matter. She cares deeply about Yoga and presents the course material with reverence. The 300 hour program modules were deep dives into the topics. Each module was experiential combining lecture, discussion, practice, and resource materials. Two Birds offers high quality training for those looking for a well-rounded experience. I am a much better yoga teacher for the experience and I am confident the training I received was top quality.

As a graduate of Two Birds Yoga Training (October 2017 to June 2018), I would like to give voice to my humble opinion of the experience. The class size was perfect: just 9 students. The location of our classroom and practice studio were in the same building so it was easy to transition, from Posture practice in one space, to Anatomy in the next (we had a real Skeleton as well).
With over a decade as a teacher trainer, and one of the most accomplished Yoga resumes I have ever come across, Libby Cox was an amazing instructor. With the ability to teach advanced Asana, and an deep understanding of Yogic philosophy Libby would beautifully weave the two together as we spent our time. Guest instructors from around the globe joined us on many occasions. We spent time with many of our Yoga heroes as they taught us their specialties, sharing with us so many different viewpoints and perspectives--it was a cornucopia of information skillfully and thoughtfully brought together by Libby.
The training includes two private lessons, and plenty of time for one on one with Libby. More hours might actually have been spent it on instructive talks before or after class as we all were loath to leave the spellbinding cloister of our group dynamic. I could not be happier with the class and have developed life long friends of my class mates as well as my dear Teacher. Namaste

Dear Libby,
I hope you are thriving and your family is well. I just wanted to send you my gratitude in light of this beautiful chunk of life I’m living. I work at a College of Nursing now, and specifically in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion work. In this short 7 months here, I have been asked to train and facilitate in sensitive topics. It has helped me so much to have been taught by you, and by the cumulative teaching of your teachers. My use of the nonviolent, inclusive, respectful language that you modeled is like muscle memory now, and I have such a mental shift in me as I have no expectations of outcomes, because my intention is just to speak as an invitation, and not as a directive. Physiologically, I don’t sweat because of nervousness or anticipation, my body doesn’t heat up like it used to, and my mind doesn’t race when I’m given a hot topic to respond to in a Q&A. It is amazing to feel the impact of being trained in yoga for personal self care, and to see these skills improve my performance as a teacher.
Nurses can be a high intensity low self care group, and happily our Dean models healthy behaviors and stands up for holistic wellness. It has been so fun for me to lead some yoga sessions for mediation and relaxation, and I recently had one particularly high intensity staff member fall asleep in śavāsana during one of my sessions. I was very happy when that happened. Also, my notes are 100% on the same supply of index cards I had for our class:
Sincerely,

The instruction and guidance that Two Birds Yoga Training provides is both experiential and pragmatic. Libby is a captivating teacher who uses language that is inclusive of all experiences and journeys. Her teaching style encourages that students find their own voice and cue from their own bodily feedback rather than repeat a series of cues from a book or text. I love that she often replies to questions and comments in a "yes, and" manner, showing that there are many perspectives and answers to all sorts of questions. Her team of skilled anatomy and physiology teachers are thoughtfully selected and thorough. Her understanding and teaching of yogic philosophy and tantric wisdom is pretty much the cherry on top. Stories and myths flow through Libby so naturally - she is a natural born story teller, wisdom weaver, and initiator of ritual.

Teacher Training with Global Yoga Shala, Libby Cox, lead instructor
Costa Rica June 2013 -- It is not often you find someone with such presence and passion, but somehow I managed to not only find this person, but to have the honour of being her student. Having put all my faith into what I could only describe as the “universe making it so,” I found myself in the company of a woman who represents yoga and all it has to offer. Libby Cox is an excellent teacher, guide, and a true light. I am truly blessed to have been a part of her journey, and to have shared mine with her. Libby exudes knowledge, skill, and passion that reaches far and beyond. I could not have hoped for a better teacher. I am forever indebted to Libby for the most amazing experience in my yoga!

Studying with Libby as a student, both in classes and one on one, has been a transformational experience for me. Her knowledge of the forms and the philosophy behind yoga run deep, but it is her ability to transmit that knowledge and to inspire that put her in a special class of teacher.
